Settle are delighted to announce that one of our developments was awarded ‘Best Small Development’ at the First Time Buyer Readers Awards on the 1st of September. This is an amazing achievement, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work carried out to provide ten brand new, quality affordable homes.
Located in Shefford, Bedfordshire – Iveldale Drive comprised solely of ten high quality, shared ownership homes. Two-bedroom bungalows, offering single story living, benefitting from private back gardens and open plan living. Three- and four-bedroom detached houses encompassing a spacious living room and separate kitchen/dining room that is both stylish and practical.
Working in partnership with Parrott Construction, the new homes were inspired by the local landscape, with traditional exterior finish, varying styles of brickwork, rendering, cladding ad windows with an environmentally friendly timber frame.

The site had previously been used as a local health centre, but when this was replaced in 2012 with a new health centre in a better location for visitors, the original centre was left derelict and the land unloved until settle bought the site and granted planning in September 2021.
In purchasing the land, settle made a commitment to ensure local people had the opportunity to purchase a brand-new home through shared ownership. Priority was given to applicants who had a local connection to the area. In doing so, we ensured local people could own a home in the area they love.

These homes promised spacious, quality living and privacy, satisfying all contemporary family’s needs, as well as providing their goal of local ‘forever’ homes.
